When you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands plus I share my gift to my daughter, a framed Vision Board.
Happiness during COVID? Surely not.
When you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands.
Happiness? Umm hello, it’s COVID Melissa Matthews, so how can you be celebrating…..? And why?
Well, my Number 1 Daughter is moving into her first apartment here in Australia. Now she’s travelled, lived and worked overseas but hey, we’re in the middle of COVID, so she’s home from “sunny, not sunny” Auckland.
Like you, so many changes have taken place with many parts of our lives forgotten or put on hold, so we’re making the best of things and this has got us celebrating, clapping our hands.
New home, new job plus, we’ll have more room in the fridge, so that really is something to celebrate. So what do this proud mother do? Well I spent the morning making her one of my favourite things: a framed vision board, a piece of art.
Now while it’s technically not my Vision Board, it’s my joyous creation of how I feel including my best wishes for her.
I make plenty of these and they really life my spirits. I start thinking about the good stuff and it makes me feel a little lighter, giving me something to clap about, a small break from the world.
I simply use whatever is at hand including magazines, newspapers and old books. Each a little different, each with a slight twist but always my very own expression, which is something you should keep in mind. If you do this, you want to explore your own style and the beauty of these are that you don’t need to frame them all, you can keep them in a scrapbook too.
HOT TIP: During COVID or any time we're under stress, we’re all going to experience times where nothing is going right or according to plan. Sometimes that’s in our own lives and sometimes in the lives of those we care about, meaning we’re still affected.
These are trying times and we never thought it would happen. Ever. You will have days where nothing positive is there. Look for something. Anything, even if it’s someone else’s good news.
